My name's Walter Woodford. I'm from Jackson, Mississippi, and I've been an investor in real estate here for 42 years, so I've done just about everything you can do in that arena. I have a local office on Fortification Street, but we don't really use it that much because this automation has really helped with my time having to be at the office.
Why did you become a property manager?
Why did I become a property manager? Well, actually I'm more of a mortgage manager than I am a property manager. We do use it, DoorLoop, for our short term rentals and it works great and we've got seven of those. And then we also use them for collecting our mortgage payments and at $2 and $3 a door, that is a bargain compared to the other software that's out there.
How were you managing rentals and payments before DoorLoop?
Before using DoorLoop, I had tried a lot of different software platforms. Over the 42 years I've been in business, I've tried almost everything there was out there. And as my business progressed, I had many, many applications that I didn't use in those other softwares. So when I found DoorLoop and it was just simply an internet search a few months ago, and the tutorial showed me that this application would help me in my business, and it certainly has.
What is your favorite DoorLoop feature?
Well, number one, I don't need the people. At certain pieces of the business, automation took their place. Now I found a way to use him doing something else, but what I had the administrative person doing, it was, DoorLoop, completely replaced that tracking of the money and receiving the money and putting it in the right bank account.
How much time does DoorLoop help you save each week?
It's a half a day per week.
