Your questions answered

What are property management communication tools?

When you manage multiple tenants and properties, you should be able to quickly send mass announcements to everyone. With the right property management communication tools, you can quickly send a mass email, text, phone call, or message in their tenant portal to all or some of your tenants.

For example, if an elevator is broken, it's good practice to let everyone affected know. Or you may wish to send holiday announcements about your limited hours of operation. Or maybe offer an incentive if they refer a friend to rent one of your vacant units. The possibilities are endless!

Can messages in the portal have an expiration date?

Yes! As you create an announcement, you can set a date on which it will automatically expire.

Why use a property management communication tool?

There are numerous reasons, but mostly, you want to make sure your tenants are always up-to-date with important updates, special offers, and ongoing projects through mass announcements.

By choosing between email, text, a phone call, or your tenant portal, you'll be able to reach your tenants on their most-used devices so there are never gaps in communication.

And the best part is, you never need to give out your personal cell phone number anymore as DoorLoop will give you your own number where you can reply directly from our desktop and mobile app.

How much does it cost to send announcements?

Sending emails and posting messages in the tenant or owner portal are free. Text and voice messages cost $0.02 each (or one communication credit per message sent). Your DoorLoop account comes pre-loaded with 100 communication credits for free for you to try. Each credit costs $0.02. When you run out of credits, you will be topped off with 500 more credits for only $10.
