The rent comes in, the bills get paid, the leases go out, so I'm really happy.

My name is Stephanie Izaguirre. I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and I manage both commercial and residential properties. In my commercial property, we have between 22 to 25 units, and then I also manage two residential properties. I fell into property management. I'm a lawyer. I own my law firm, and I was looking for a property for my law firm. I ended up buying a commercial building that had enough space for my firm as well as about 20 other tenants. And so I used DoorLoop to manage that property as well as the two residential properties that I own. I heard about DoorLoop from the internet. I think I did a search for top 10 property management software, and it was the best option when I looked through the other possibilities.

Before DoorLoop, I had been trying to manage the property with a series of spreadsheets. It was okay, but not great, and I just found that there was a lot of information that I was looking for that I had stored at different places, and I was always clicking around in my computer trying to find it. So that's when I decided that I needed one software to manage. I would definitely tell you that my favorite feature is my ability to just send my leases to my tenants and have them sign them electronically, but what I noticed is that I was getting the leases back signed generally in minutes, so that is my current favorite feature.

The DoorLoop sales team, the onboarding process was fantastic. That initial first month was a little bit difficult because I was starting in the middle of some leases and trying to enter deposits and just trying to get everything right, and so they were really accessible. I would absolutely recommend DoorLoop to another property manager, whether they were an individual or a professional. I'm sure that there are big property managers out there that have proprietary software for someone who can't afford that or doesn't have the need for that. I think DoorLoop is perfect, whether you're a small business, medium-sized business, or even a large business that maybe doesn't want to spend the time to develop your own property management software.

My piece of advice would be it is worth it to take the time to get everything set up the way you want from the beginning, and initially it could seem like this big barrier because you have to spend all this time entering all these details, but once you have it up and running, it pretty much runs itself. And so that is probably my number one thing that I love about DoorLoop is now that I have it up and running, it pretty much handles itself.
