DoorLoop has made this process much easier and affordable than I ever thought I was going to be dealing with. My name is Jim Wayne and the name of my company is Barrington Real Estate Group. My background is in real estate. I've been a licensed broker in the state of California for 30 years. My main passion has always been multifamily. We had the need for a property manager separate from the ownership, and so I was getting reports from a third party in certain cases, and I was also doing things in a much more archaic manual manner. We had a third party that was making 8% and they don't. We don't need that anymore. DoorLoop has saved us so much time and it's gotten us so much more organized that I don't need a third party property manager, so that's all done in house on 50 doors and it's a piece of cake. The task portion of that, all of our tenants use it and the communication module that they've put in there now is extremely helpful.

So if I've got to let people know that we're paving the parking lot next Thursday, it's easy whether you've got 300 doors or it can handle a fourplex. Most of the softwares that have this level of complexity are either not user friendly or too expensive. The other thing that I would tell you that I like about DoorLoop is their accounting portion. And I say that because typically a property management software doesn't have a robust accounting element to it. And even if it does, it's so complicated or cumbersome that it's not easy to use or it's not easy to work with them relative to reporting, relative to doing it like you would as a normal accounting software, and so come tax season, it's piece of cake. The guys at DoorLoop have impressed me beyond what I thought I would ever get relative to their support.

They call me back right away, right away! They are always there on the phone. Their technology that they built fixes something that I don't understand how to do, or I'm still learning how to do initially on the fly and I can watch them do it when I grant them access and it is done to where I can see how they do it quickly and then I don't have to ask a second time. Beyond that, when they do make upgrades or they do make changes, they really do take to heart the things that we suggest as a community. My tenants now, they live by it and they used to bring their rent to the property manager in person, most of them. Now they all live in DoorLoop, so I've got tenants that may be out of town for a week and a half and they make their payment from South Africa or wherever they are just on time because once their system is set up, it is a no-brainer. My advice would be stay in your lane. Do what you do and do it better than anybody else. And if you can avoid having to chase things that don't make you money, oh man, it gives you more time to go out and do the things that do.
