Senior Risk Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Risk Analyst who will be responsible for building and monitoring merchant risk solutions and diminishing risky, and fraudulent activities via the payment processing feature of our software.  

Responsibilities include:

• Onboarding new customers.
• Performing detailed fraud and risk monitoring and investigation of moderate to complex account activity and customer behavior analyses.
• Continuously analyzing all merchant activity and transactions to make data-driven decisions regarding risk and creditworthiness. 
• Review, identify, and investigate high-risk payment transactions and high-risk accounts.
• Identifying and managing transactional risk and risk reporting.
• Assisting in creating, adapting, and updating company processes for conducting proper risk analysis and ensuring the performance of all such procedures.
• Monitoring the conduct of customers to minimize risk and identify potential fraud.
• Communicate with customers and Account Executives to confirm the legitimacy of high-risk transactions prior to onboarding and taking appropriate actions to mitigate or eliminate any risks.
• Analyzing fraud cases to identify possible trends and points of compromise, and presenting such reports to the Founders.

• 4-8+ years experience in risk analytics within the payment industry.
• Experience in the fields of payment processing, fraud, risk assessment, and online/internet suspicious activities.
• 5+ years of experience working in a similar setting.
• 3+ years of financial fraud prevention experience with identity theft. 
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, statistics, or a related field.
• MBA preferred but not required.
• Certification: Professional Risk Manager (PRM) is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with third-party vendors related to risk preferred.
